Was this a UEL or EL header? @MAPerformance

Mine is an UEL. But a well designed EL such as the HKS or P&L and soon to be Nameless have show great gains in the dip as well.

The Torque dip can actually be significantly improved and almost eliminated with a solid tune, a header is not necessary. We had really impressive gains on a stock car.

Although a Header would make a big difference as well.

I'd like to see the dyno graph if you have one.

you can't have a basically stock 86! you either have stock 86 or modified 86... that would be a modified 86... with an exhaust modification.

If you read the thread you'll see that we tested the drop-in filter back to back with the stock filter, they were +/- 1 hp for each run, as in we did a run with the K&N filter at 193, then a second run at 192, change to stock filter and we got a 193 then a 192, same numbers. So that basically shows the filter did nothing for the HP gain or loss.

We also did the same test with the muffler delete, a 1 hp difference either way is so small that usually is down to a variance between dyno runs.

We were very thorough, we didn't want to make claims we couldn't back up. We could get the same results form a bone stock car. We just didn't call it a "bone-stock car" because we knew someone would say - "Hay what about that muffler delete"!

We would be happy to tune someone's bone-stock car to prove it - or to tune anyone elses car so they can see the improvements firsthand :)
