Bay Area tuning? Cable?

Has anyone bought a tuning cable or anything? I am thinking about buying FA20CLUBs Ecutek tuner, but figure I could save $350 if there is someone out there willing to share cables.

Here is a solid tuning solution if you are interested!!! http://www.procedetuning.com/BRZ_FR-...ash/index.html and you won't be locked in with ecutek tune and no need for additional cable. :D

Cheers

Question! If one buys the Custom Dyno tuning, do they still need to buy the Open Flash tablet as well? Or can you just do the dyno stuff by itself?

That would be me. Great product. You can tune it yourself/by a tuner or download a base map provided without paying for a license.

The possibilities are endless. I know more maps will be available soon and you will be able to pick and choose or even edit any map you download.

What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, they are local too so you have local support if needed. Lol

Wow very cool. I hadn't seen this option before. It seems so much less expensive than alternatives too.

I do hope there are some more maps put together soon, as I already changed a couple of things from stock.

Anyways, I really like the product. Thanks.

I'm not one to force feed anyone into a mod but I was sold test driving Jeff's car at the last Dublin meet. So I got the 1.0 and 1.1 flashes on the car. The difference is definitely a positive one. Would I recommend it??? If I had another 86, I'd do this tune again in a heart beat.

So is there a off the shelf map for TRD intake/exhaust? Or is that still coming in the near future?

Also... I dont expect to use the device very often.
I would almost just prefer to go into the shop, have a one time tune up and dont keep any hardware. Are there any options like that?

Hi,
Yes we do indeed have a map for the TRD intake and exhaust. We dyno'd a car just the other day with similar mods (TRD intake and front pipe). Feel free to call us and arrange an appointment if you want to come by the office to get the OFT installed. It only takes a few minutes :)

Thanks to everyone else for the kind words/recommendations!

Cheers

Would OpenFlash be an effective solution for correcting the DI seal failure issues that seem to be the result of a faulty factory tune? I assume you've seen the documents floating around this forum from a South African arm of Toyota?

^ Nevermind... a lil research and I answered my own question. Kudos to you guys for addressing the DI seal issue with this product and more kudos for putting the answer to the ? in your FAQs

After reading the list of comments in this thread, this may be a real possibility -- plus I don't have to drive about 80 miles to get a tune.

Edited out the noob question -- that was answered on "getting started" that solidified my answer, expect a call within a few days from me to drive up and buy that sucker!
