Lose of acceleration over bumps

Hey,

Has anyone else noticed when going over bumps that you lose acceleration?
I can sit there and watch the rpm drop and the sounds of input decrease.

lol, is this serious?

Just think of what a bump is. The wheel is losing decreasing or even becoming disconnected with the road surface. Less traction or no traction will result in wheel spin which is increasing revs with no apparent increase or even a decrease in road speed.

Furthermore, think about going over a bump full throttle, the drive wheels leave contact with the road, the engine speed increases, and then suddenly they are again in contact with the road at a sudden increased speed.

Do you think that is good for any part of your drivetrain?

I think you shouldn't be complaining about decreased acceleration over shit roads, but rather being less aggressive with your right foot.

If you want maximum acceleration on bad roads you should look at something more rally oriented and not something like a sports car.

It's traction control going crazy. If you turned it off, you'd get some interesting wheel spin instead of power cut.

Unless you're at WOT it's essentially impossible to hold a constant throttle input over bumps too, mostly likely you'll back off the gas accidentally.

If it's WOT, it's 99% sure to be TC cutting in as the rear wheels get light.
