Autocross event in southern OR this past weekend.

This past weekend we had out September event and had 4 86s with 5 drivers.
The top 5 cars in the class were within less than 2 seconds of each other and we all have different mods done. This was my friend with the silver FR-Ss first autocross ever and he did quit well. I convinced him to take off his body kit and come race with us. Good thing he did because during practice on Saturday he got a little sideways and the front of the car ended up in the grass and would have done some damage to the body kit.

Mine is the second from the right.

Here's a video of my first attempt at the course (epic fail):

Second attempt:

My 4th and final attempt was my faster and the third fastest in the class.

Ha, happens more ten u think. Even pros spin out some times. All it takes is just a slight bit to much correction and not enough rebound.

I always try to practice using just enough counter steer then straighten out.

It's really easy though to over correct and it's strike 1-2-3 spin out lol. Especially on a course that's new to you or the car.

Oh I know, I've been racing here for 9 years but have only had this car since May so I'm still learning it. Most of the RWD cars were coming out sideways. After the car stopped it wouldn't restart which freaked my wife out enough further.

Ha, I'm sure. In the video a guy in the background was saying that's a trickey corner. Hell at PIR on the 6th I watched a few cars go off including a race ready Porsche. Congrats on third in your class though.
