DRL problem

I just found out that my DRL is not working after i let go off my ebrake. I also checked the DRL fuse that was label in the fuse box, and the fuse look fine. I alsos checked to see if the high beam work and it does so it can't not be the bulb problem. Anyone has this problem before?

They can be disabled in the ECU.
Are you the original owner?
Unlikely to be disabled by the dealer.

The DRL was working fine before. I just found yesterday that is not working for some reason. I guess i will wait until my next service and tell them that as well.

I haven't experienced that ..... but, I would suspect that the little "switch thing" in, or connected to, the e-brake is acting up.

I'd make sure your e-brake handle is going all the way down ... maybe even push it down a bit.

Are your headlights on? I believe the DRL's turn off when you turn the headlights on.

You are aware that you can turn your DRLs off pretty easily via software using techstream right?

Or just disconnect the resistor under passenger head lamp there is a DIY on here that I followed

Decay107 09-17-2013 09:28 PM

I was under the impression that some people had issues with removing the resistor? Something about the side mirror adjustment motors no longer working?

For you I would double check that the resistor is connected and grounded properly. Sounds like that is where your problem is coming from.
