US BRZ NAV bypass idea
Since there are the new Nav update which also checks the speed of the vehicle via the speed the GPS is reporting and putting a switch on the VSS line doesn't help,
Did anyone try to put a switch on the GPS antenna line as well? Basically disabling the GPS system making the radio think you are not moving? I know it will disable the GPS but it will enable using the features that are grayed out like the dial pad and watching a movie. If you are watching a movie (your passenger) then you are not using the navigation system anyways. |
When my rear view camera comes in I am going to disconnect the GPS antenna input and drive around like that to see if it enables the grayed out options.
Should be next week. |

I don't have a solution yet. Wish someone finds one.

man, this kinda sucks, that makes the only option for my music video collection, to use a tablet or something for video :-( sad

I'm working on this as we speak. Anyone local to the Edison Park / NW Chicago area that wants to be a beta tester?
