18x9.5 stock height stock struts
Hey guys
Any one have any idea about fitment of 235 or 245 on stock struts at stock height? Offset +34; 18x9.5. Things I'm looking for - any need for RCAs (at Sportline drop and at stock height) and any need for fender work. I believe they will clear the strut at normal height but what about at a Sportline drop level? Thanks Pete |
You should be fine. I have 18x9.5 +38 on all four corners. I also have a 255/35 on all four corners. At stock height with stock struts/springs I had no issues. It was CLOSE on the front, but still no issues. By close, I mean the tire against the bottom spring perch on the factory strut. Also, since you would be on a skinnier tire with an additional +4mm of clearance, that would just mean it'd fit even better. The rear clears everything no problem. Not sure on a lowering spring as I have since went with fully adjustable coilovers.

When I test fitted my 18x9.5s +38 on 255/35 before installing the Coilovers I had no clearance. The tire was touching the strut. I believe I tested them on the front, so I don't know about the rear. But you have a 34 offset so you're probably good, except for the wheels sticking out way too much.

Mine was REALLY close (probably 3mm) but never actually touched. I drove around like this for a few days without any rubbing issues, even at full lock.

Cleared the stock front spring barely on 18X9.5's, 245/35 tires squared. Rear was not an issue. On full coilovers now though.

Apologies for the necro bump, but would the Enkei NT-03M 18x9.5 +40 fit on a car lowered 1" all around on Swift springs + stock struts? I know that the 17x9 +35 fitment clears but not sure what that means if I pump it up a notch in sizing.
Edit: I'm looking to get tires to match, no crazy stretching business or excessive camber :) |
