So I was changing my fluid to day and found this ball stuck to the drain plug. It's not a shift ball, they're both there I checked. It does feel funny shifting into fourth like it just falls in no click nothing. Anyone have any ideas?!

You may have a faulty trans bearing inside.

I would stop now and take it to Subaru.

unless you have an aftermarket clutch...

I have an aftermarket everything lol. Trans sounds no different than normal. Not saying something isn't messed up but I might tear te tranny apart this weekend and need to know where to look

Well it's coming out and apart this weekend. Does anyone know where to find an exploded diagram or An fsm for this transmission?

If you search someone posted an .iso file for the complete 2013 BRZ dealer manual. You'll find what you're looking inside.

Probably not good. Please let us know what you find out.

I would suspect all bearings and shift detent locations for the shifter mechanism.

you mentioned it went in to fourth with less resistance does it also come out more easily, like slide out too easily while accelerating in fourth?

shit I guess i could have peeked at your signature before i posted eh?!

We're thinking it's one of the balls from the no.4 transmission clutch hub the synchronizer key spring ball. Could this be the cause of all the grinding trannys?!
