Getting a tune will be the best money you'll spend on the car N/A. Even if you don't care about the performance gains, it makes the car so much smoother, more responsive and enjoyable to drive even at part throttle. It's also safer, as at least I was seeing significant amounts of knock on the stock tune, and now zero after going aftermarket. FA20Club, Visconti, Moto-Mike, etc all offer plug'n'play tunes that are very easy to install and have significant gains.
Lots of threads out here discussing the benefits. Guaranteed you won't regret it.
It's not required though for your headerback exhaust. Definitely recommended if you put a header on at a later date.
