Yep, we will have you covered! Make sure to reiterate to your dealer that you DONT want them to drill into your new baby.

It is fully adjustable(up/down, left/right, AND angle)

Will be just like this one

http://www.grimmspeed.com/catalog/pr...roducts_id=218

Group buys are sweet...I'll start one right away when the product is ready for you guys.

i thought about this the other day, but i think i'll pass because i want to keep my front end as clean as possible, and not having front plates makes a huge difference...

i will be using a few suction cups and sticking mine in the corner of my front windshield [i know, it's ricey], but it doesn't look bad if you do it right... trust.

I'm currently considering one of two options, either using the tow hook method as GrimmSpeed mentioned, or zip tying it to the grille of the FRS. Is there any downside to zip tying it? ie. restricts air flow to the engine?

In most states that require a front plate what you are talking about is illegal since it is not mounted at the proper height. At that point I would rather not have a front plate at all, which is what I have run on my car for the last 10 years.

as long as the front plates are mounted [safely/securely/facing forward/right-side up] 60" or lower, you are fine in CA...

i'm sure the location in question, the bottom corner of front windshield, is less than 60" when measured from the ground

Pretty sure it is 60" from the ground and mounted vertically.

I am just posting the front plate law for California, there seems to be some confusion.

zAnSh1n 03-25-2012 10:00 PM

right... well, according to the CA law, i CAN mount my front license plate in the bottom corner of my windshield... it is less than 60" from the ground and will be mounted within the guidelines...

No, according to State law you cannot. The windshield is not perpendicular to the ground so you can try to get away with this but you're not following the letter of the law so you'll probably get pulled.

Regardless power to you. Front plate requirements are retarded and I'm glad I live in a state that doesn't require such.
