ARK Performance GRIP?

I have been looking at different exhausts and came across the ARK Performance Grip. I like the sound of it in the videos on their site, but I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with ARK performance.

Buy it, buy it, buy it now. You will not be disappointed at all. Top quality product, it looks amazing and sounds even better. It has the right amount of quiet to drive with and sound amazing when you punch it. I love my GRiP exhaust.

We had a meet two weeks ago where a BRZ owner was looking for a new exhaust and after hearing all of them (Perrin, Isis, Milltek, and Greddy) he commented that the ARK sounded the best.

I like ark exhaust but I don't want burnt tips. Does the polished tips has the finished rolled tips design similar to Greddy SP Elite ?

I was with you on the no burnt tips, but when I ordered mine that was all they had. I actually don't mind it now, contrasts with the firestorm nicely.

However I can understand not wanting the burnt tips. Have you checked out all the pics of the polished tip on ARK's site?

Don't have the GRiP But I have the DT-S. Great exhaust, quality is top notch from what I can see so far. Have about 7,000 miles on it.

I have the grip with test pipe. IMO, it's the best sounding exhaust for the car. I've gotten almost as many compliments about the sound as the car.

Also, in my experience, Ark has good customer service. I got a deal when I ordered my test pipe and got it within a week.

In-cabin, JUST the Grip catback doesn't change much. Hard on the throttle, you hear the engine not the exhaust. So it has a high level of comfort.

Outside the car, I think you hear the exhaust a lot more.

Now, once you go to a test pipe or high-flow cat, it will pick up a lot more volume.

The exhaust doesn't drone and isn't obnoxiously loud, is a better way to put it.

I got rid of the sound tube/noise generator, so that cut out some engine noise, then added an intake for some more engine noise...

Adding a test pipe will make it louder on all levels... IIRC, from SAE testing, the grip went from 98dB to 104 with their front pipe

Yes that is the best way to put it. I capped my sound tube off with a nylon plug from Home Depot and replaced the stock filter with a K&N. No test pipe and the volume is pretty much perfect for me. It sounds like quality not obnoxiousness.

However, I've seen someone in the forum had troubles to align the exhaust. Am I wrong?

I posted about that. I had troubles originally since we were in a rush to get it finished before a meet. Once I had time, it was simple to line it up correctly and bolt it back.
