More Power VS. other Performance Mods

1 Attachment(s)
My last semester of school begins at the end of the month and I am thinking about doing a few other things to the car before summer ends. I can't decide if I should upgrade my Vortech kit for more power or do other mods such as all around LED's, Beefier brakes and some cosmetic modifications. Any advice from you guys? I'm happy with the power I have but knowing there is still potential with some fuel system upgrades has me pushing for 300 WHP.

Here's my current Dyno

Wheels/tires make a huge difference, as does a front sway bar.

As soon as I burn through these tires I'll get a more aggressive set but I still have a decent amount of tread on em. I dont want to add a swaybar yet since I have heard of fitment issues with overpipes and I like the car being tail happy. Tires will definitely add the most performance for the buck!

A couple other mods that I've done and wouldn't trade for the world are the Beltronics STi-R remote mount radar detector (install thread here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25140 - start around post #13) and the OEM Audio Plus system.

Not exactly performance mods, but definitely improved the overall driving experience.

Upgrade radiator, engine+trans+diff mounts, heavy duty clutch, heavy duty drive shaft, coil overs, install a proper gauge (or a tablet+bluetooth thingy), driver mod (aka go autocross/drag/hpde at the current power level).

or you know, get 300whp and roast cars on the highway fast n furious yolo

I say enjoy what you got for right now because its still new and maybe some exterior stuff but future mods what if ya got the carbon fiber drive shaft 1 piece for less clunk o.o

I say save turbo until after school ends. Save your wallet for now and then go on a spending spree

I have a gauge app on my iphone and my coolant temp sits between 188 and 195 so i'm not gonna touch that. I like the suspension the way it is and until the clutch starts slipping I wont upgrade that. Driveshaft won't be till next year or later since the stock one is fine. I have been drag racing the car since I got it so that will continue. I think anything I do now will be for maintenance and cosmetic since I am happy with the current power level of the car.

Lol sorry dude, I meant save the upgrade for the SC (called turbo by accident). I was reading this on my phone when I was with my family. Apologies.

Tires will make the single biggest difference. I suggest saving up to get them next spring (or get some winter tires if you're driving the car all four seasons) and only spending money on a few minor mods: shorty antenna, clear corners, lug nuts, shift knob, etc.

Spend your money on AutoX registration and get driver mod.
