DCW Glowing center console plaque and footwell lights

Hi I have question about DIYing some leds in the car! I want to install some foot well lights along with the Glowing plaque from DCW.. Would i be able to have the foot well lights go on independently from the dome light (Phasetek dome light kit) if i used a fuse tap also? Would it work if it was something like [Fuse tap, ---> Driver side LED, ---> DCW Glowing center plaque-->Passenger side Led, ---> dome light kit (Phastek)]? Would you know what kind of fuse i need at the fuse box? Do you think that would work? Also if i were to buy extra wires what type of wires should i get?

Almost any wire can work. I'd probably go to Radio Shack.

You can add additional power sources by using diodes to make sure no circuit back flows power into another. Be very careful not to short out the dome light circuit. It's controlled by the body ECU from what I can tell.
