FR-S and BRZ Roll Bar Interest Thread!!!

Hi Everyone!

We are seeing if anyone would be interest thread on the FR-S and BRZ Chassis!

At Corner3 Garage we are all about safety as the #1 aspect on track driven cars and drivers that have that same mindset.

We are all about quality and If you have seen our cage work we TIG weld everything out of either Chromoly or DOM mild steel.

With roll bars/cages also come the added benefit of safety and rigidity!

Here are some questions we would like to know!

How would you like to see the Roll bars designed?

What are some interior features you would like to see integrated?(keeping of rear seats? interior paneling? etc...)

Would you buy a roll bar?

How much would you be willing to spend on your personal safety?

Here is some of our past work!

Thanks,
Mike

While a full weld in would be badass, not everybody wants that or has the $$ for that. Not everybody is willing to cut up their dash and rip out half their interior panels either.

I think as far as a bolt in option goes, something like a 6 point dash escape with optional door bars and harness bar would be awesome.

I'd love a simple harness bar/4-point. But I'd love to see something that utilizies factory mounting points, requires no drilling, and doesn't mess with the interior all that much (can delete rear seats if really necessary).

Full cage stuff is a small market and I think most guys go with local builders for that.

We were only thinking of developing a Roll bar for the general public!

Anything that is cage related must be developed custom because everyone has different needs!

We dont believe in using rear harness bars.

If we did develop something it would definitely be a 4 point with either an integrated horizontal bar or harness bar!

We are definitely trying to keep interior handy, but we will have to see after prototyping.

Thanks,
Mike

Fair enough. A 4-point would be great. Again, it would be nice to see someone spend a little extra time to find a way of integrating the 4-point around the interior space and/or utilizing factory mounting points.

If your looking for a track tester, I'd be happy to assist ;)

We have been seeing a lot more FR-S and BRZ at the track. Who here would consider a roll bar and why? What features would you be looking for in the bar.

Id love a bolt in with double diagonals and a lowered harness bar for a stripped out interior car.

We will definitely try to keep that in mind when building something like this, but we won't compromise safety!
