racerom flat foot shifting

so i've noticed on some vids, the rev limiter is kicking in on flat foot shifting. on mine, it just shifts into the next gear without it hitting the limiter. am i doing something wrong? do i need to set rev limiter to a higher number ?

What version of the visconti tune are you running?

I did notice with the supercharger and an older tune that flat foot shifting would sometimes just cause the revs to "hang" without activating the limiter.... usually only happened when revs were above 4K or so

With 1.06 it seems like its working like it did when NA, maybe due to different race rom version from previous tune

Currently on 1.06 and I think I figured it out. Depending on where you set your launch control is where it'll blip when flat footing. So that's what it seems like

Really?

Mine always just "rev limits" at the rpm that I push the clutch in at

Yeah it's so weird otherwise it'll just shift without doing the blip thing. I wonder what's going on with it

I actually tried it out and at 4.5k is my launch control limiter and when I had it floored I pushed the clutch in the jumper to 4.5 and was bouncing on the limiter. Maybe I should try it higher and see how it is after like 5. Hopefully the revs don't jump to red though

what you are describing is definitely not happening in my car... I am using the most current stg 1 visconti tune that was released about a week ago. For me... regardless of rpm it holds it there for that brief moment where the shift is supposed to happen.

Found this in the racerom manual

"At the moment when the Flat Foot Shifting feature activates, a temporary rev limit is set thatis slightly higher than the current RPM. The ignition timing is retarded by a specified amountthat reduces engine torque while preventing the RPM from rising too rapidly."
