Vibration feedback through steering wheel.
 

Recently I've notcied a vibration coming through the steering wheel. Can't tell you if I've always had it or im just being ocd, but it's very minimal and rarely ever does it vibrate enough to move the steering wheel. Keep in mine it does not affect which way the wheels face, it's just a vibration. Is this just cause the car gives excellent feedback and I'm just now noticing it or could it be worse? I've checked for rocks as well as tire pressure and both are fine.

you should provide more info, such as:

- speed
- road type/condition you're driving on
- cruising, acceleration, or deceleration?
- etc

This. There's not enough info. If vibration is increasing with speed, it could be the wheels need to be rebalanced. Under braking, it could be due to uneven brake pad material deposit on the rotors. There's too many unknown variables.

Could also be:

- wheel out of balance
- wheel lugs loose
- bad steering rack
- bad shock
- uneven tire wear
etc etc

Apologies for the lack of info. I typed it up just before I went back to work. Had a coworker take a look and he says it's just normal road vibration. I'm driving a friend's BRZ after work to see if it's the same. I'll provide more info about what you guys posted when I get home. Thanks so far!

Vibration doesn't increase or decrease with speed or load on the engine. Happens on both smooth paved road as well as bumpy ones.

Checked torque on the lugs and they were good. I drove my buddies brz last night and while his does have the same vibration, it wasn't as noticeable. Then again his has 10k less miles. He drove mine and didn't notice anything different between the two. He says its all in my head. Its likely just more road noise due to more wear on the tires.
