Oil gauges and oil cooler ?
I have oil pressure and oil temp gauges running off a sandwich plate.
Next mod up, is my Perrin Oil Cooler but I'm unsure as to how to engineer it alongside the gauge sandwich set up. Any thoughts? |
Im wondering the same. Im sure I will find a place but am down for a good lead.

Maybe you should have posted this in the FI section. Since most na guys wont be running gauges.

Stack them. I have mine like this:
Oil filter Sandwich plate for gauges Oil cooler thermostatic adapter Perrin spacer |
I don't think I would want the stack to get any higher than it is with a spacer and oil cooler adapter. I would drill and tap the oil cooler adapter or spacer for two 1/8 NPT ports for your gauges. It would have been nice if they came that way with plugs installed for those that don't want to use them.

I dont want to stack either. Someone should do a diy on this. Oil cooler, oil temp gauge, and oil pressure gauge. Ill be installing mine next month. If I think to and have the time Ill do a DIY

What kind of sandwich adapter are you running? If it doesn't have sufficient ports, maybe this Blitz setup might give you ideas to add fittings or to find a similar sandwich adapter setup.
Scroll down towards the bottom of the page for the pics. There are provisions for a temperature port and 1/8 NPT pressure port on the fitting depending on the size. Blitz Oil Cooler |

I will be changing my stack from what I posted above.
I got my hands on a TRD sandwich plate for the sensors and it's just tall enough that I can use it in place of the spacer supplied with the Perrin oil cooler kit. So, my stack will be: Filter Oil cooler thermostatic adapter TRD plate I'll post a pic up next week. |
I would think theres got to be some oil galley plugs that can be adapted for sensor use like on the EJ motors. Look at where the FI guys are pulling for oil feed lines could be a clue.

It looks like this oil adaptor has 4 ports in it for everything.
