17x9 +35 wheels, lower 1". PROBLEMS???

Ok I'm looking into getting 17x9 +35 wheels & I wanna get the koni struts & tien s shocks. But I've been hearing that's on lowering shocks, at a full lock, the rims will hit the tie rod.. is this true? Plz advise

No no issues. Running 17x9 +35s now. 245 section tire.

I'm also running this setup, but with RCE spring, and don't have any issues rubbing.

If I remember correctly, there are rubbing issues with the tie rod when using the 17x9 +45 rims (but the +35 offset is fine).

17 X 9 +35 with 245/40/17's work fine on stock, but will poke

I was rubbing both fender lining during full lock when I had about half a finger tip between the tire and fender. I was pretty much slammed. Riased the car to a 1.5 figer gap and no issues anymore.

All heights are much lower than just a 1 inch drop.

Why can't people use units of measurements? What is this the medieval ages? We gotta use the kings foot as measurements?

LOL.

1" wont give you issues. I have 17x8.25 +25 fronts and 17x9.75 +25 in the rear and they dont rub and I'm dropped some 2-2.5" (dont remember the drop but I'm at 1 finger gap).

Looking to do this setup as well 17x9 +35 with 245/40/17 with 1inch lowering springs. Best way to get rid of poke? Hopefully get to flush.

:o:o:o:o

I'm running 17/40/245 +35 with rsr super downs on stock struts and with camber bolts maxed out up front. They've rubbed fender lining on harsh bumps but no other clearance issues yet.

Maybe one larger than average male index finger clearance :o
