Dealer installed alarm shock sensor
I had the shock sensor for the alarm installed by the dealer before I picked up my car. It definitely works, just seems too damn sensitive. Does anyone else have this option? It seems like the slightest wind sets off a series of horn beeps (that go off before the alarm starts ringing). Is there anything I can do to lessen the sensitivity? I don't want to completely disable it.

Same problem here

As someone who used to install car alarms; shock sensors are a great way to give yourself and your neighbors a headache.
They are either too sensitive, or useless. You could check the service manual to find the location of the sensor; they usually have a dial on them (you'll need a pretty small flat head). If it isn't physical, you'll need the obd2 cable + the software for adjusting car parameters. You can search the forum; some people like to change the door chime/etc, and I think the same software would change this. |
