Clutch disengage whining sound?

So I'm getting a whining sound from my clutch everytime I disengage it to switch gears(throughout all the gears) around 2-3.5k rpm. Is this normal sound? I don't recall hearing it when I had the car for the first month. I have looked and search the threads and it's not the same sound as the whining/whirring noise in the other thread. My clutch isn't slipping either. I will record a video sometime tomorrow and see if the sound appears in the video.

This happens when its warmed up as well for me. My crickets start until I rev over 3.5-4k rpm after it being warmed up. Anyone else knows if it's normal or not? Sounds kinda like bees buzzing by your head really quickly then dropping in sound.

Hmm, you should hear crickets at RPM higher than idle, it could be something else..

As for clutch noise, I always had it...

Keep in mind these cars don't have a lot of soundproofing to save weight and cost. You're going to hear things that you wouldn't hear in a luxury sedan. I have driven cheap cars (Corollas, Sentras, etc.) for years so I'm used to it. Buzzing, rattles, whining, clutch mechanicals - I'm used to them all. Not much different in the FR-S so it doesn't bother me much. The boxer engine makes its own unique noises too but I've gotten used to them as well.

I just keep the revs up and that covers up most of it. Unless it's something truly problematic like misfires, skipping, slipping and such, I just ignore the noises and enjoy the car.

The crickets are for sure above 3.5-4k rpm cause I usually just cruise on freeways no more than 3k as my limiter is set for 3.5k. The pump has not been replaced by warranty so yeah...

I know the car doesn't have that much sound proofing, it's just the clutch buzzing sound when you disengage the clutch that I remember not having within the first 1.5k miles of the car.

That doesn't sound normal, at least I never had any noise from my FR-S clutch. Is that downshifts or upshifts?
The 4-3 shift on my MINI made an awful sound if I didn't rev match, but I never had any transmission problems from it.

It's upshifts only. No issue with downshifts. Tried to record the sound but it didn't show up on the video. Will try again.
