What offset will not interfere with turning?
 

I am pretty settled on 245/35/18's or 255/35/18's (marginally taller) on 8 or 8.5's.

What would I expect from this? It is difficult to pick rims with offsets from tirerack. They may offer rims you like but you can't specify that in their filters.

I want something nice and reasonable, nothing close to $1000/ea.

So, would this size fit all around? My research is leaning to 18/8.5's at 45 Offset seems to be reasonable and on the money without going to serious math. Unless someone has done this configuration before and it sucked... Either way, lets discuss it.

What is your end goal? Lowering? Do you want flush? Sub flush? Poke?

Those are pretty meaty tires you're throwing on, especially on 8". In addition they are going to be fairly tucked, especially if you lower it. 18x8.5+45 on stock suspension with 255/35/18 might rub the stock spring/perch. 245/35/18 is a better fit at that point, still will be fairly close to rubbing. You might get away with lowering springs on that fitment but hard to say for sure.

So yeah, because I did, I think 18x8.5's are the ones.

I settled on 235/35R18 and 245/35R18 as they are -.5x and +.5x on % of equal dia. of the original tires.

I was leaning towards 245's just to give me slightly more sidewall. If I lower it, it will be no more then 1", prefer .75" but I doubt springs made for that?

But I see a number of people have used 235/35R18's.

Tirerack sucks for purchasing wheels. There are so many vendors on here that have wheels listed on their site in various sizes specific to BRZ/FRS fitment. Scrolling through some of them will save loads of time and headache.

You only have so many options and even more of them go away staying with stock suspension, given the size of the stock spring/perch. Coilovers will give a lot extra clearance inward which will allow you to run wider wheels/tires with less issues to worry about.

-Buy coilovers
-Lower it
-18x9.5 +40ish
-255/35s or 265/35s on all four corners

PS. There is a thread that is sticky'd on here that has a list of various sizes and offset wheels that will and will not fit.

I'm running a 8.5 with +38 offset on the front with a 225 tire and no problems, should be able to handle a 245 on that rim with no rubbing.
