Installed steering, transmission an sub frame bushings, NVH question
 

so I recently had my mechanic install the TIC steering, kartboy transmission insert an whiteline rear subframe bushings. I'm impressed with the improvement in steering response and lack of drive line slop with the new additions. I do detect a hint of additional vibration in the steering wheel and seat at idle which I assume is normal. I only ask as others with similar mods mentioned no noticeable increase in NVH. is what I feel normal? Would urethane rather that solid steering bushings feel any different?

Yes you'd feel just a wee bit less NVH with the Whiteline vs the solid metal bushings. I have all the Whiteline bushings installed and at idle I barely feel anything, but there is a little. I feel more from the stick shift vibrating (I have the Whiteline trans insert and Perrin shift end bushing,) but it's very minor also. The biggest thing that will effect NHV will be engine mounts. The diff inserts will create additional noise but like everything else, it is slight. Nothing done to this car seems to be adding a ton of NHV as it seems to be a wonderfully engineered car compared to others I've owned. I have yet to put the engine mounts in but people say idle should be adjusted up a little with a tune, so I'll see what happens when the engine mounts, headers, and tune happen late next month.
