Non HID H11 Replacements
 

According to this post from our forum, the stock low beams are H11 and 55 watts. as anyone tried either of the below plug and play brands or lights without ordering and installing the HID kits. Please dont thread jack with comments about "why dont you just get an HID conversions kit".....I was trying to find some information about just simple direct replacement bulbs like the ones I linked below. Thanks

I picked up the crystal visions. They are better than stock but still yellow compared to the $30 5000k 35w ddmtuning hids I just installed. They just were not what I was looking for... But without going hid, they are the best you will get imho.

Do you have a link for purchase or pictures of how the ddm tuning ones look on your car. Are they just a plug and play with the factory wires and projector?

I wasn't actually looking for so much a direct replacement that was similar to stock but a direct replacement that looks more blue/white/ after market-ish

It worked a minute ago... now it does not.

You can modify H9 bulbs to fit H11 sockets. They are 65w bulbs and should be safe. That said you can always get thicker gauge ceramic connectors. If you'll google H11 to H9 conversion you'll find a NAISOC guide. You can also find "Heavy Duty 16-GA Ceramic H11 H8 H9 Wiring Harness Adapters For Headlights or Fog Lights" on store dot ijdmtoy dot com. The should last just as long as h11's and increase the lumens to 2100. The projectors should take care of the glare from the lack of "paint/shielding" at the top of the bulb.

I recommend these. Output should be higher than the Philips Crystal Vision H11's, so much closer to the HID look.

I don't have any pics right now of them on my car, but yes, they are plug and play. The only thing is you will have a ballast to mount. You can either zip tie it in pace or use some double sided sticky 3M tape for easiest mounting. I paid the extra $3 for the mounting plates and used a self drilling machine screw to mount it in the engine bay. The whole process might take 30 mins if you completely don't know what your doing. I could put them on a car in 5 mins really. Slightly longer process than just replacing the bulbs.

If you go above 6000k for the bulbs, your lights start turning blue.

It's hard to see in bright daylight but they are pure white at night.

Wow those are cheap. Do you have a DIY, looks like there are some new connections to be made. I know there are diy for other companies already on YouTube. Are the instructions sufficient?

Also, what are you running for your turn signals

My ballasts do not hum like the ones in this video though.

My turn signals are the 7443 60 SMD Dual color switchbacks from ddmtuning:

Same thing the vendors are selling but nearly half the price... $29.98 for the pair. I disabled my DRL's and use the switchbacks as my fog's and/or running lights. They turn amber and blink when I use the turn signal.
