Need spring advice.
I have been looking on the forum for days now deciding on a set of springs for my BRZ.
I am looking to lower around a 1-1.2 inches all around and want a spring that won't blow my stock shocks. I drive the car at HPDE's, local drift events, and through mountain roads a lot. I upgraded to some HC800 pads, and 225/45/17's on stock wheels. I still want the car to have good neutral feeling (maybe more oversteer if possible with just springs). And...... GO! |
RCE seems to be the default spring upgrade for this car. No personal experience but it seems like the countless who have gone this route are extremely satisfied.

Other choices I would suggest are Swift BRZ springs, Eibach ProKit, and H&R Sports. I'd like to see some more feedback on the Swifts but the people I have talked to with them are very pleased.

Another popular spring is Eibach Sportlines, that's what I went with. Gave the car a nice drop without being too low (wish I was lower honestly). My rear camber was around -2 on both sides, I added lower control arms.
The stock ride on these cars is already pretty rough, springs didn't help, it's rougher, but I'm also on bigger rims with less tall tires. With the new tires and springs the car just grips, turns like it's on rails. A lot of the playfulness from the stock tires is gone, but the car can still be rotated, I actually spun it at the last auto cross event I attended. I run autox and road courses on the swift lowering springs and highly recommend them. The ride quality on these are second to none, plus these springs are perfectly matched to the factory shocks. If you're still in the market for springs a couple months down the line, these will be for sale once my ast shocks come in.
