What information are you looking for?

Drftfan 05-29-2013 05:11 PM

Just suspension and stance shots I suppose. I didn't think about it lol

Heres my question.
i want to run, 215/45/17 in the front and 235/45/17 or 18 in the back
lowered on stance coils.
to drift. so what wheels would look the most aggressive without rubbing?
other elements that i dont know are, how low im going to sit on the coils
and whether 18 works better in the back for drifting, ive been told before "18 in the back for function" but never learned why.

this is my BRZ drift setup, 18/9.5 all around, 225/40 front and rear. set the coilovers to leave you around somewhere .5-1 inch in the front, this is for your safety that ur wheel wouldn't hit ur fender when u fully counter steer and hitting any bumps while you doing that. it is already tested by me. how this would help you.

XXR 17x8.25 +25 wheels
Achilles ATR Sport 215/45 Tires
Stance Coilovers

Ran the stock wheels & tires in the back last time.

Running the rear coils on full stiff. Around -2 camber
Front coils about mid way on stiffness and around -4 camber.

Works pretty well. Just need less camber in the rear. A bit more rear end grip would make it perfect.

Thanks for post guys. I am getting ready to order my coils and my wheels and this helps the decision process

IMO i think if you go that wide of tire with an underpowered car you'd have a hard time getting it off the ground. In my 240, comparing it, had stock motor welded diff and full suspension and arms 215/45/17 rear (normally), and i tried running wide tires (235-45) you can feel the difference... clutch kicking alot and you have to pick up so much speed. 225 on the rear seems the max to put on the car with stock motor. i mean our cars are a little bit more stronger then a KA and Less then a SR unless you wanna swap the motor out. IMO. but try it out. I really havent tested my car out since im broke... but hopefully i'll be able to at word up! in august. so far my setup is Lowered 2.5" on BC and stance LCA and spc rear toe. and spare drift tires/rims ready for august...

Stance Coils.

Pretty low. Coils still have another inch before they're maxed. No rubbing issues
