Throttle response after intake mods

I have seen this topic on here before I just want to get a feel for how many people have seen a change in throttle response, mostly when starting from a dead stop after any intake mods. I just installed the K&N drop in Air filter and drove it the first day and was hard to tell a difference. Next day I reset the ECU and the the change was very noticeable. Almost killed the engine in 1st starting from a dead stop. Before I had to try and give it less throttle cuz it was revving so easy, as compared to my 06 tacoma. I am hoping that it gets better with the ECU re-learning proccess.

The notorious dead pedal, it will go after a while once the accelerator pedal is re-learnt.

If you reset the ecu, turn the ignition to accessory mode and slowly press the accelerator to the floor 5 times (I do 6). Voila, no more dead pedal when you start it up.

Ok, I did that when I got to work but will have to wait till after to check the response. Thanks for the info!
