defective tailights.
So when I bought the frs in march I was told I got the "newer" taillights, today I went to look at the car and I have condensation in BOTH my lights Lmfao!
New taillights are coming in on Thursday, which is surprisingly quick. My question is can I keep the old lights that have condensation? I'd love to open them up and stuff? I heard we have the option to give it up, or keep our "broken" parts |
No, they won't give you the tail lights if they are replacing it under warranty. I tried with mine.

they'll keep them - per my toyota guy, they have to send them back to toyota as a warrantied item. if it's any comfort to you, mine have condensation after replacing under the TSB, too. haha

I used a set of new gaskets from a forum member that was cutting them and went a lol heav on the 3m weather adhesive but no problems since. Over 2 months of rain and car washing and not a drop.

Hmm well I spoke to Toyota and I used to pay someone to get my tail lights vinyled. So I asked them if I can spray them and they said it's no problem as long as you don't open them. :)

There is part of the rear metal frame behind the lights that need to be modified or bent, as apart of their install guide/TSB. They now claim that is the cause.
