Radio Flickers on Turn Signals

hi, i bought my car used with leds installed for the turn signals/switchbacks. i noticed intermittently, the radio screen flickers in sync with the turn signals. i installed a relay thinking this would fix the hyperflash and radio flickering issue, but it did not. it only resolved the hyperflash. im already planning to buy an aftermarket double din, and hoping this issue wont transfer over to the double din, but anyone experience this>? thanks

Dude! My radio signal messes up when I turn on my headlights! All I hear is static!

A lot of aftermarket LED lights will do this, especially with AM radio. LED lights are not electromagnetically shielded, and some emit RF "pollution" or interference. You may notice that it's worse in the early morning than it is during the daytime when signals are stronger.

As for the hyper flash, don't mess with resistors. Simply buy an LED compatible LED flasher relay to replace your stock one. In anticipation of doing my own I just got a relay with an adjustable flash rate knob on it from iJDMtoy.com on Amazon. That'll fix all of your hyperflash problems. I did the same thing on my Subaru Outback, which uses the same flasher relay.

Back to the radio: One thing I have yet to try is to get some of those removable EM barrier things that clips around the wire harness to the lights. You typically see them on USB cables for PC components, this may be a partial solution to the RF interference. They have some sort of graphite or similar looking material that surrounds the wires.

Edit: to answer your other question, this will transfer to any other radio since it's the antenna picking up the interference.

Mine does the same thing with new led blinkers radio blinks but only when blinker and brakes are applied together soon. As I let off brakes it's fine

This happened to me. My switchback's were backwards and now it is fine.
