Perrin Non-Res Catback video request

hi guys,

finally deciding on an exhaust system but i'm torn between:
evo3
perrin un-res
ft86 v1
srt headerback

i tried searching but i cant seem to find any youtube videos of fly by's. anyone mind uploading videos of theirs? i prefer fly bys as they give me a better gauge of the sound level from an audience POV. im really leaning towards the perrin and evo 3 so if anyone can help me that would be awesome. thanks guys! :))

I currently have an unresonated Perrin, but I've order the resonated mid pipe because I want to go a little quiter. I'll try and do a before and after under identical conditions.

thank you! is the perrin unres really THAT loud?

I dont think it is. I find the exhaust tone very nice without being too loud.

It's not all that loud. In a lot of ways I love the sound of it, but I live in a neighborhood of young families, and original 1960's hippies and I feel like an ass sometimes running around with a moderiatly loud exhaust compared to all the Priuses (Priui? Prius what's the plural for Prius?).

Pieces of crap, I believe, is the plural form of Prius.

Here you go, Not a Fly by but this video helped me decide on the Perrin unresonated

Areddi 05-21-2013 08:36 AM

Go resonated, no need to research. Resonated is the best sounding, most mature exhaust I have seen. I got mine about 2 weeks ago and it has been fantastic. Also, getting the resonated will allow you to go for additional exhaust components in the future and maintain a reasonable volume.

If the 105 dba free rev measurement is accurate, the Perrin unresonated catback would be illegal at their home circuit, Portland Intl. Raceway, that has a 105 dba max limit.

I went the un-resonated catback system.. Love the note, no louder at the top end, but really noisy on cold start up while throttle override is on, likely to draw unwanted attention. Will get getting a resonator added to mine soon
