Buzzing/vibrating speaker fix
I figured out a way to stop my right and left door speakers from buzzing/vibrating. I pulled out a foam roll-out used for camping and cut the corner off and then cut that little piece into 4 cubes about 1cm x 1cm in size.
If you look at the speaker knee pads right by the bottle holder in the door you can see that there is a little cap in there and you can even pull it back a little bit. Well I just jammed two of these little foam cubes inbetween this area on each side. I found that got rid of the vibration/buzzing completely (I don't blare my music, but I do like it loud at times) Here are a few pics to visualize what I am talking about: http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...A1791D32C4.jpg http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...A16C558E44.jpg http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...A189A536E1.jpg http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/t...A195A0CC27.jpg |
^^
I see a problem with this -- what happens when the enclosure gets loose? stick another piece of foam there? It looks like it'll just stretch out. |
Has anyone taken the door panels off and come up with a different solution for this? The rattle is extremely annoying. Even using a high pass filter and lowering the bass a bit. This is my only complain on this car. I don't think that's the only spot that vibrates either.
