1st gear in FRS a little stiff?

Hi,

My 6MT FR-S has ~900 miles (1400km's) and I find that it requires quite a bit of force when attempting to put it into first gear/reverse, yes I'm pushing the clutch all the way to floor lol, just wondering if this is normal or not?

Thanks :)

You can change your transmission fluid or you can drive it and it'll smooth out itself eventually.

I would say it shouldn't be hard. Does this only happen when the car is cold or at all times?

Come to think of it, it does seem to be stiffer when it's cold, but it's still fairly stiff when the car is fully warmed up, I'm expecting it maybe to loosen up a bit once the car gets more mileage, most of my mileage is 80% highway so not too much shifting has been done.

I hit the 5k mark and mine still is a bit rough while cold. Sometimes I have to double clutch when I first start the car early in the morning to get it in reverse. It loosens as it gets warmer. From what I have seen, Pentosin has helped others fix this issue with the cold starts and while warm with the tough reverse, and tough 2nd gear shift while cold.

I have 0 problems once the car is warm and the fluids reach their operating temp. All gears are easy except the 1st to 2nd gear shift can be a little rough sometimes.
