LED DRLs and Switchbacks question

Just picked up my 86 last weekend, and already can't leave it alone. First thing I need to address are the lights!

Tried to search a bit before starting from scratch, mostly in the DIY sections, so apologies if this is a n00b question, but...

I want to swap in LED DRLs over the normal halogens. Since the normal halogens just run at 1/2 power in DRL mode, do I need to adjust anything to make the LEDs run properly, such as removal of any fuses or resistors? Or do they just shine at 1 brightness for DRL and high-beam modes? Will running the DRLs greatly decrease their life expectancy, as in, should I disable DRL mode entirely when swapping?

Additionally, I also want to swap my markers for LED switchbacks (since I'd like to lose the amber, and would like some pseudo-fog lights). Just so I am clear, if I have on parking and/or headlights, these will remain on (and clear). If no parking/headlights are on (aka DRL mode), these will not be on. Correct? And all I will need for install of these is a flasher module to cure hyperflash?

Eventually I'll be doing HID swap too and will surely have more questions, but wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting into with "Phase 1" of my light upgrades. Thanks!
