Stock audio
Is the stock audio system just lack bottom end? I've had my BRZ Limited for a couple weeks now, and played with the EQ settings, and the highs in the dash seem to be all I hear. I checked the other speakers, they are working, but the bass end of the spectrum is lacking.
If that's the case, I'm going to have to dig out some old school equipment I have, ie a pair of 6" dvc bazooka bass tubes, and a PPI 2050 amp. The stock audio in my F150 sounds better. Edit: Let me add, that this is a low volumes. Once the dial gets up around 30, the doors and lower frequencies are more audible and balanced. |
If you want clean, clear, deep bass, you need more than your Bazooka tubes in your trunk. The BRZ is a "smaller" car but has more than twice the cabin volume of your F-150.

I ran these tubes in my standard cab Ranger, and my Mustang, so I'm sure they will make up for whats lacking at the lower volumes.
The F150 is a supercab, so with the trunk volume of the BRZ I suspect cabin volume isn't much different. The question is, or more correctly the problem, is the amplified door speakers don't do much at lower volumes. |

Sealing + deadening the doors has a huge impact on how well those doors speakers play the bottom end. i would recommend that before anything. |
