Emissions question with a ecu flash

Does flashing your ecu with an ecuteck tune make you unable to pass CA smog tests where they hook up to the obdII port and check on stuff?

Ok thats somewhat of a loaded question, but....we have 10-15 customers in CA runing our EcuTek based tuning. I know of two of them that have gone thru the check stations just for grins(both customers work or own shops that have something to do with inspections) and both passed the tests with no issues.

However, with that said, we sell these for off road use only........

Thanks! I was just curious if they automatically fail you if the ecu looks flashed. I am guessing the readiness codes are all they look for then. With a proper flash these should be fine.

Here is a follow up question: what if you swapped in larger injectors and a fuel pump and flashed it to run these properly. Would it still be ok as long as the readiness codes are fine?
