ACDelco Light Weight AGM Battery $27 shipped
Just picked up a 3.6 lbs from Amazon for $27 shipped. Description states 290 cranking amps at 32 F. The spec of our Panasonic ones are 320 CCA and 29.2lbs. ~25 lbs weight difference. I have been using an Odyssey PC680 in my EK9 for years with no problem, until the car sat for a week. I think should be fine with the weather in the Bay Area, California. Simmons (on this forum) is using a 1.5lbs. Anyone else running anything that light, especially daily?

3 AH and prob less than 200 CCA.... You're very brave to try this. I'm running a 5lb Shorai. 540 CCA & 36 AH.

maybe i should have mentioned that the record lows in the Bay Area are around 30F and that my car is garaged.

I'll see if this battery works out for DD, if not it will be a track day swap. As long as I do not leave accessories on while the car is off and drive it daily I think this should hold up for a year or 2. For $27, there's Tamiya battery packs that cost more than this.

There's no way that a 6Ah battery can put out the same 290 cranking amps as a 30Ah battery. I found the 30Ah battery will put out 385 CCA according to very similar products in weight, dimensions, and capacity.
