Spacers and Strengthening

How large of spacers would you all go on your FR-S before strengthening. I haven't seen much talk about it yet.

I am considering 18" x 12" wheels with about 40mm - 60mm of spacer and a decent amount of track time on this setup. Normally I don't like spacers, but I will need them for a different bolt pattern.

Cheers!

No, I am actually curious if people have run into issues with large wheel setups.

18x12 and track dont mix. also, 40-60mm spacers are huge.

the answer is, find the right size and offset or go WBK

So what size you max out at 17x10 with 10mm spacer?

Can you provide some scope to "the right size" too please.

275/35r18 would be my guess without looking into it too much.

They make 18x12 wheels, they make tires that fit, seems to be possible. I didn't ask if it was a smart idea, I know there would be issues. I asked if it would break things.

yes. 2-3" of spacer would put an interesting amount of stress on the hub/studs. might last a while, might last a day. if you do it, take pictures.
