Question for you guys!?

Installed a 300w amp and sub this past weekend. Before I put all the panels back on I tried it out listening through the radio. Worked great!! Well when I put everything back together, everything works but my fm stations won't get any reception and my Sirius wont get signal. My HU is a pioneer avh-x5500bhs. I checked to see if maybe anything got unplugged on the back of the HU and everything was good. I have the 8 gauge battery power wire running on the drivers side through the factory gromet. Could this wire be interfering with the frequency ? And if so what can I do ? Thanks!!

Doubt it is the power wire but for a quick test you can disconnect it from the battery.

Your antenna wire is unplugged or loose. Check the back of the head unit and make sure it's plugged in.

make sure the antennae cable is making contact with the port on the HU. did you connect the amp remote wire to the brown wire with the diamond symbol? where did you ground your amp? i grounded mine to one of the bolt securing a factory amp to the frame. located in the trunk.

Ya I did the same location for the ground. And I pulled the HU out and moved the antenna adapter around and it started working again. Almost as if there is a short. I'm not concerned so much about that its my Sirius.
