Girodisc 2 piece brake rotors - GAUGING INTEREST
 

I have been in talks with Girodisc about having some front and rear two piece rotors made for our cars. To get it done we would have to have at least 10 sets made.

The rotors would ideally save somewhere between 2-4lbs each. More savings for the front rotor than the back. Retail price for the fronts would be around $650-$750 range per pair, rears $700-$600 range per pair.

Now here is where some of the fun comes in... we can have them anodized our choice of colors which are red, dark blue, light blue, green, orange, aqua (Project Mu green), pink, silver (clear). grey, dark gray, bronze, gold, black.

We also get our choice of rotor patterns which would be blank, slotted, segmented slot, crossdrilled, crossdrilled/slotted, J-Hook.

They seem really good quality, but what caliper would it go with?

Looks like Wilwood's offering with bolt-through hats instead of screw-into hats. Those can be had for ~$550/pair. Seems like a fair price for slightly better tech, a choice of colors, and the development cost.

They are excellent quality. We have an STI and Evo X that run these rotors in all of the NARRA TT events with great success. We have not warped a set yet.

These would be made for stock caliper. If we want to use the STI brembo's that application is already available as an off the shelf item (04 STI front, 08+ STI rear).

Bump. I want these. Why aren't these a thing yet?

I use these up front with my brembo conversion, and the 326mm 2-piece rotors actually weighs slightly lesser than the stock front rotors. Good stuff!!! But it makes a massive hole in your pocket :(

Is it the same price for the sti version?
