Limited wing plugs?

I'm not fully decided on which wing I want to go with yet, but I do know that I've grown to not like the Limited wing. I'd like to remove it, but I'm assuming I'll have to plug the wholes it will leave.

Anyone done this yet? Curious about hardware size.

You could probably get a good idea by removing the rubber plugs on the underside of the trunk and sizing plugs based on the bolt shafts. But I heard there are also rectangular holes left by the Limited spoiler along the center blade so you might have to get creative on how to plug those.

honestly, i think your best bet would be arranging a trunk swap with someone who has a premium WRB

Check this thread out: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18587

Vinyl stickers on the top and bottom will do the job.

What color?, interested in trunk swap?

Superhatch 03-03-2013 11:15 PM

WRB.

I've posted in both trunk swap threads, and on Craigslist locally and haven't gotten any hits.

ATL, thanks for the link. I didn't know about all the holes on the center blade, seems less doable now.

If there are no takers on the swap, you can always get them welded or body fillered shut and painted but it'll cost you. Have you researched how much a new trunk lid would cost (I'm curious)? Wish I could say monitor your junkyards but that might be futile in Milwaukee. There are some junkyards that ship nationwide (think I've seen one on craigslist in Sacramento, CA).

Have you figured anything out about the hole plugs yet ?
