I got rear ended... (Atlanta)

Well... I was on I-85S about to be at the I-85/I-75 connector. The cars in front of me slammed their brakes so I did as well. I stopped just in time and as the breath of relief came out of my mouth, BOOM! 2010 Toyota Camry rear ended my FR-S. I had been recently reading about accidents happening to people after about 1000 miles and I just hit 2000 yesterday. I am so bummed... Here's pictures for whoever is curious... I hope that the lady driving pays me for EVERYTHING! Including the new exhaust I put on yesterday...

Ah that sucks man. Where did the exhaust go?

Zgrinch 03-01-2013 09:00 PM

That sucks...sorry to hear and glad that you are ok. What exhaust?

ApoNono 03-01-2013 09:30 PM

Ouch - sorry!

It was pushed into the mid pipe so my mid pipe went from a smooth curve to a sharp "V" pretty much folded completely.

Everyone reading this thread needs to go to this website right now and purchase a Blinking Smart Stop! $30 may prevent this from happening to other 86ers. Our cars are too damn short and there are too many damn distracted drivers out there.

Really sorry about this man. I hope you get it repaired ASAP. Here's a link to the WORKS midpipe. With any luck your insurer will agree to replace your OEM with that one and you'll get an upgrade out of this very unfortunate accident.

That sucks man, Atlanta drivers are mentally challanged.

MosesFRS 03-01-2013 10:47 PM

Damn!

DBacon1052 03-01-2013 11:00 PM

Ouch that sucks!

If it makes you feel any better, yours held up better than mine:(

Well I didn't get hit by an airplane like you did. Lol. God dude I'm so sorry did you get it fixed up back to normal? Like 100% normal?

jstans84 03-02-2013 12:18 AM

I'm 100% convinced that our cars are basically invisible.

TaddyDobbins 03-02-2013 12:52 AM

So sad. Keep in mind, a defensive driver is the best driver.
