i suck at vinyl :( (crystal black silica + redout vinyls)

it looks ok from 3-4 feet away, but up close there are tons of little bubbles and wrinkes/runs. :( Think I'll peel them off and go with the VHT nightshades redout spray instead.. |
I haven't used VHT because of cracking. Beware.

Saw one myself at a meet. Say you get some cracking and condensation starts on your tail light. They might deny warranty work because of it. Vinyl at least you can peel off.

What vinyls are these? Are they premium auto styling? Something looks iffy about them and it's not just the fact that only the face appears to be covered.
My suggestion; blue bat overlays + professional install if you don't feel up for it. Otherwise, a proper heat gun (or hot air gun for soldering) will help a LOT. Here's a link to my tails, I LOVE them. Pretty much the only option I'm 100% sold on short of the Grazio tails. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=480823 |
Fantastic, thank you Laika! Yeah, these are the premium auto styling ones and I was surprised with that too - it doesn't wrap around and leaves the sides clear. Just a flat 2D cutout.
I'll give yours a try, and I'll definitely get it done professionally this time :) Had no idea vinyl could be this tricky to work with. |

Comes with practice. And it looks pretty good for a first attempt on a hard area.

Also VHT is removable with lacquer thinner, goo gone, etc. Here's mine lightly smoked with VHT: http://imageshack.us/a/img829/1430/photo22aa.jpg |
Try running over them with a credit card and a hair dryer on low heat

It really amazes me how many people don't like the stock look of the taillights. I love it.
