Looks great. This is the exact setup I want. What is your opinion on the Rivals so far?

Gearhd79 02-26-2013 12:45 AM

SkAsphalt 02-26-2013 01:04 AM

I rarely say this but damn, does it need a drop.

this must be the first pics of the 17x7, thank you. the 42mm offset looks perfect to me.
the rival's shoulder doesn't look too pleasing, but if it performs like they say it does, i want them too:)

I only have about 100 miles on them now.

Dry grip: much better than the stock tires, but would we expect any different. I will have a better comparison at the end of the month.

Wet grip: It doenst rain often enoght here :)

Noise: These are noisy, but so are the stock tires. It does seem more noisy.

I agree, but to remain in a stock class you really cant do anything to help.

It almost looks like a truck.

I've got the BF Goodrich Rivals on my Camaro, good tires.

Good to know. I've got a while before I run through the stocks but its nice to have another affordable option with the z2 and rs3s

oooh I am way curious about those rivals. Nice job on a grippy, light, stock-legal setup!

Mine are a bit heavier with 225/45R17 DZ2's

Ran last week with the new set of tires and wheels. I started off the day at 38psi front and 36psi rear.

The rear pressure seemed to work well, but had to bump up the fronts a few psi to get the wear in the right spot. I think I went to 44psi hot in front and that worked better.

I may have been over driving the car, I am new at this :).

I think I will start with 40psi cold in the fron next event and see if this is a better starting point.
