BIU (body integragted unit) replace

Anyone every had to replace your BIU because you shorted out something. I think i just shorted out my driver side courtesy light. There is power to it all the time but not enough ground to light the light bulb. The dome light comes on when the door is open but the door light doesn't. Yes i checked the bulb it works fine because i swapped it out with the other side. Hope this unit isn't too expensive don't want to pay big bucks for it. If you did a swap how much did it cost you?

Just a little update. Called Subaru dealer for price check on parts. The BIU is $380 doesn't include labor. Also it is not a part they stock so has to be ordered can take up to two weeks depending on availability. Taking car in for service on Monday to make sure its the part.

Last update for this i took the brz into the dealership to verify if the BIU went bad. It looks like when the door light shorted it fried the ground wire not the BIU. So if your are having light issues in the door make sure your wires didn't get fried or have the dealership check it out for you.
