Torque spec for steering wheel nut?

Does anyone have the torque specification for the nut that holds the steering wheel on?

Diggging this thread because I'm doing this and it was bothering me not knowing the spec.

Looks like the manual says 29 ft/lbs

I started cranking away on it, measured w the torque wrench and I was only at 21 ft/lbs, but I was already seeing metal shavings and I didnt want to go all the way to 29.
