TyperRspec789's Full Blown Stage 1 Base Turbo & e85 Progress and Testing
Hello Guys & Gals, I know my car has two threads by Pure Automotive already posted in the FI forum, but I want to make a more organized thread on the progress on my car. Just trying to filter out all the questions, leaving this thread for all the answers summarized through videos and pictures. I will be updating and posting all the testing of the Full Blown kit that I do from time to time. I feel that a forum needs this unbiased 3rd party view of these products. For the [long] list of mods, please refer to my signature.
Special thanks to @FullBlown and @Pure Automotive |

With a better setup that can actually hold traction, the launches would be much much better. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...psd6133314.jpg 0-50mph- Notes: The car still maintains its 7400rpm redline with the base map tune making so that you still have to shift into 3rd gear for 60mph. I would like to see if LJ could raise the 2nd gear redline to 7800rpm so that I could get this car under 5 seconds. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...psd35586ee.jpg 0-57mph- Notes: This is as close of a 0-60mph time I can get for the forum. Again, this is with a 2.5 sec 60ft with cold summer tires. Once the weather warms up and I get fatter/more aggressive tires in combination of a raised 2nd gear rpm limit, this car should do <4.7sec 0-60mph. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...ps52de96c6.jpg Gas Mileage- Notes: This tank was done with mostly "normal" driving. "Normal" driving can be summarized and defined as 10mph above speed limit in both highway and city. This is actually the same tank that was used for the 0-57/60-100/60-120mph testing. This is a calculated 25.96mpg. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...ps6ef8f6c2.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...ps214892c3.jpg 3/8/2013 Update: - RPF1 staggered setup w/ BFGoodrich KDWs- 255 on 17x9 rear, 235 on 17x8 front - 2.75" Overpipe-back exhaust- J2 Engineering test frontpipe mated to Greddy Evo3 - Front grille removal w/ Perrin license plate relocator - Custom intake air inlet - GT86 Fog bezels http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...ps75a828fe.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...psa65ac401.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...psce764152.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...ps45fbfa4b.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...ps4a2378ad.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...ps5b368e6c.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...ps1c872d3e.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...pscedfbb52.jpg |

Russ needs to roll up on some Caymans...Carreras...see what happens.

Car is tearing it up. Sounds good, lag is very minimal from what I can see. What a riot it must be!

Updated with 60ft, 0-50mph, and 0-57mph times. This is using a GTech Pro.

How come you aren't tuned out to 8000rpm or a little above like the other kits?
Is it your fuel or something that is stopping you or just personal preference? Thanks, |

And to add, I don't feel safe running the car to 8000rpm and above. Although I respect Visconti and his work (I personally had him dyno tune my stage 1 and e85 NA tunes), I just think something is being overlooked. Yeah, the heads are very much up to par to handle the extra rpms, but I kinda think the rods and piston wrist pins are taking a beating. Especially when running boost. That's just my opinion though. |
