Blown wheel bearing =(

Anyone know what wheel bearing will fit these front hubs?? I hit a giant pothole so hard the other night I half expected my wheel to come off and heard the all too familiar sound of a blown wheel bearing afterwards. I'm guessing it be an off the shelf subaru part but google and searches here haven't turned up anything definitive.

Did you switch to your spare and then heard the blown wheel bearing sound? If so, that's just the spare. Otherwise, must been a mega pothole.

No unfortunately, this was immediately afterwards. Its definitely the typical turn to one side and it gets better and turn the other way and it gets worse blown bearing sound/vibration.

Specific part I believe. Easy as pie to replace though, just get a new one from Subaru.

http://y2kimports.com/index.php?page...hk=1&Itemid=53 Bearings are in the hub. I dont think they are available separate.

If you hit hard enough to damage the hub i would imagine some other parts are fucked up too. Swap the hub and get to an alignment shop.

Yeah, it should be an easy bolt in bearing but unfortunately the dealership will only sell me a complete hub, which I'm trying to avoid, but its looking like it might be my only option at this point. We'll see though.

Thanks for the link. Surprisingly, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the alignment that would lead me to believe there is anything else damaged. The steering wheel is centered and the car tracks dead straight, but I will take a better look when I go to replace the bearing/hub and then have it aligned. Hopefully nothing else was tweaked.

Right on, good luck dude.

Bad luck!

Hub assembly's like $50 or so. Fairly easy to swap out, too. You may check out RockAuto.com or call a Scion dealership for pricing.

A guy is selling 2 wheel hubs in the members classified.
