Adapters.
Because I'm not patient enough to hear what the wheel/tire/hub forum section of the forum says. Ill post to my fellow NW owners. So to sum it up. I'm interested in a set of bbs that came off an evo 8 MR, doing the research. The bolt pattern is different. So I started looking at adapters. After I figured they do exist and I know I could make it go on the 86. I'm curious if anybody had any experiences with adapters in the past. I understand how they work. But are they track friendly? Reliable? Thanks in advance!

I had some adapters for a pair of STi wheels on a old WRX. 5x100 to 5x114. They basically act as a spacer as well.... but they are really spendy and not really worth it. Hard to resale also.

Spacers may effect handling from what I've heard over the years. I would avoid using them and just sell/trade your wheels and get a set that does fit.

I have 10mm spacers in the rear. Tech with the 8in wide rim i'm running and the offset the inside contact patch nearly identical to stock if you do the math. The tires just come out by the fenders. Then camber lots because of my low. It really depends on the wheels+spacers. I would never run more then a 10 though. At that point get new wheels... and i'm only running a spacer in the rear because I didn't want a different looking wheel in the rear of my car due to width n offset + that means more weight for the car to turn + wouldnt look as good... + the rear end of our car has more wide then the front. So Justifying a spacer in the rear is easy. But like I said anything over 10 is overkill and if I see someone using front spacers i'm going to face palm.... Get different wheels!

Lol but what about adapters! I'm looking to see if anybody has used them in the past!
