Gushi installs a Greddy Oil Cooler
|
Weird that an oil cooler didn't come stock on these?
I mean ae86 back in the 80's had one. |
Oooomph!! 1,200 for an oil cooler. Yowza.

For street use I've seen no reason to have one... Track is different.. I've heard extreme coolant and oil temps in just a hand full of laps
|
Cheap insurance for track duty.
For street it is a waste of money. |
These cars naturally run warm, if you plan to track it we highly suggest this or the HKS oil cooler. Both kits can be had for under $900.
|
I would rather not have an oil cooler. It's just more cost, weight, complexity, and potential for engine failure. If that thing gets punctured and starts seeping oil, you're done. It has happened numerous times in racing.
But... why does Gushi get the nice HID headlamps!? :mad0260: |
Aren't these pointless on our stock engines?
Are you running boost, or some sort of other high yielding mods? |
I'd just built a Setrab oil cooler myself with AN fittings and sleeved hoses... and still come out on top... like a bawwws. lol
|
I see he also upgraded his lights, his car is so simple yet so perfect.
