Dash cam questions
 

I'm interested in getting a dash cam for my car and i have the following questions to ask you guys:

1. What brand and model is most reliable?

2. Does it only work when the car is turned on or can it work 24/7?

3. What if i want to protect my car when it's parked on the street and I want to record if anyone hits my car? how do i do about that?

Answers most of your questions. Others will need to chip in regarding reliability. I have a Blackvue DR-400G-HD, but it does get very hot and some have reported device or card failures. Mine has worked fine. Advertising for the newer version, the Blackvue DR-400G-HD-II version, say the heat problem is solved.
