What is the best intake for FR-S?

I have been looking into the agency power intake for my FR-s BUT it has just came to my attention that it seems most intakes cause a cel and cause the frs to run lean. I would like to know what u guys think would be the best intake to buy without having to get a tune. Also keep in mind I intend on also purchasing a cat back and cat delete pipe. Thanks for any and all thoughts.

Which drop in filter is best, Perrin or K&N?

not k&n. you want a dry filter. oiled filters screw with the maf sensor

Make sure whichever intake you get you unplug the negative battery line to reset the ECU. The ECU should then be able to adjust to the increased air flow.

Only if over-oiled. I have the aFE oiled drop-in and I have no issues.

I have the injen and it has been awesome for me but other people have had issues with them. I normally work on old muscle cars and I know an exhaust with no negative pressure can cause them to run rich and an intake can cause them to run lean so it is finding a balance and adjusting the carb. Not sure if the same applies to this car being fuel injected but I had an exhaust on mine before the intake.

I'm looking at getting the Injen intake for my FR-S. What kind of adjustments without an aftermarket exhaust do you recommend?

Injen doesn't make a cold air.

i think he's refering to that they do make an intake. just not a cold air one. it pulls air from the hot engine compartment so calling it a cold air intake is wrong
